8/21/09 - Update...
The NH DES has lifted the cyanobacteria
warning for the beach at Kingston State Park.
Beach and lake users should still be on the
lookout for cyanobacteria scum. If you notice anything resembling
cyanobacteria, please refrain from wading, swimming, or drinking the
water. Keep all pets out of the water and contact DES immediately.
Please call DES to report a cyanobacteria bloom at (603) 419-9229.
8/20/09 - Update...
This morning there was a slight breeze
coming onshore and we have 20 feet of algae in front of our house on
Wadleigh Point. Check out the pictures below. Yesterday we
saw nothing and today we are in full bloom. Be careful.

8/18/09 - A Cyanobacteria
Warning has been issued for the beach at Kingston State Park.
An advisory has been issued due
to a bloom of possible toxin-producing cyanobacteria (blue-green
algae). The advisory will remain in effect until subsequent
samples of algae show that levels of cyanobacteria have
diminished below 50% of all algae present. Lake users should
avoid contact with the water in areas experiencing cyanobacteria
bloom conditions. This advisory is not based on a toxin
evaluation and is intended as a precautionary measure for short
term exposure. If you notice anything resembling cyanobacteria,
please refrain from wading, swimming, or drinking the water and
keep all pets out of the water.
